![]() If I block things using a firewall - be that IP addresses or DNS addresses (someone else just told me that Simplewall is actually a DNS resolver too) - and my system starts acting weird, does simply un-blocking those things restore my system to its original functionality, with no long-term consequences? ![]() I'm on the fence about the other two, because I haven't used this firewall long enough to tell if those blocklists could also break security updates (disabling all three kind of defeats the purpose though). All are blocked by default but I unblocked Update Servers because I don't want to break automatic security updates. ![]() At this point, I'm using it with the default blocklists only - there are three, (1) Microsoft update servers, (2) Microsoft spying and telemetry servers, and (3) Microsoft application servers. I recently downloaded Simplewall because I've seen it recommended so much. I'm tempted to agree - I've been doing some research and it really does seem like the risk of messing up your system with one of these tools is pretty high.
